Key Responsibilities:

> General Ledger & Financial Reporting:

• Manage and maintain the general ledger.
• Review and approve journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
• Ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions.
• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Prepare and review financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow).
• Perform detailed account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Analyze financial results and provide variance explanations.

> Month-End & Year-End Close:

• Develop and manage close schedules and deadlines.
• Ensure timely completion of all closing activities.
• Review supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness .
• Coordinate with cross-functional departments to obtain required information.
• Assist in year-end reporting and financial statement preparation.

> Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Oversight:

• Oversee AP and AR processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Monitor cash flow and working capital.
• Review aging reports and manage collections.
• Ensure proper expense coding and approvals.

> Internal Controls & Compliance:

• Establish and maintain strong internal controls.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
• Assist with implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and tax requirements.

> Budgeting & Financial Analysis:

• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
• Monitor actual results against budget.
• Provide management with financial insights and recommendations.
• Conduct cost analysis and identify efficiency improvements.

> Team Leadership & Development:

• Supervise and mentor accounting staff.
• Assign responsibilities and review work for accuracy.
• Provide training and performance feedback.
• Foster a collaborative and accountable team environment.

> Systems & Process Improvement:

• Maintain and optimize ERP/accounting systems.
• Identify opportunities for process automation and improvement.
• Assist with system implementations or upgrades.
• Ensure data integrity within financial systems.

Qualifications:

> Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA Passer
• 5–8+ years of progressive general accounting experience
• 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP.
• Experience managing month-end close independently.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics).
• Experience in process improvement initiatives.
• Experience in multi-entity or multi-location environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

• Prepare adjusting entries for receivables.
• Monitor BIR Form 2307 and withholding tax entries.
• Send collection receipts to franchisees.
• Follow up on outstanding balances and confirm payments.
• Resolve issues (short payments, discrepancies, missing documents).
• Monitor accounts to prevent overdue balances and escalate risks.
• Maintain proper filing of receipts and tax documents.

> Reports and Analysis:

• Prepare and issue weekly Statements of Account.
• Reconcile customer accounts and reduce overdue receivables.
• Assist in preparing monthly AR aging reports.

> Compliance and Regulations:

• Ensure adherence to company AR policies and billing procedures.
• Stay updated on financial regulations, tax laws, and standards.

> Audit Support:

• Provide complete AR documentation for audits.
• Assist in internal and external audit requirements and findings.
• Support inventory counts and validation when needed.

> Reporting, Collaboration, and Relationship Management:

• Coordinate with finance teams for accurate reporting.
• Work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Ensure timely submission of reports and completion of assigned tasks.

Qualifications:

> Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or Finance-related field.
• Experience in Accounts Receivable is a plus (open to fresh graduates).

> Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of PFRS, accounting, and tax regulations.
• Proficiency in MS Office and SAP ERP.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
